2007 Masters Hall of Fame Guest Speaker

Daniel Hect, CEO of the Masters Hall of Fame, announces Big John McCarthy as the Guest Speaker for the 2007 Masters Hall of Fame Event.

Costa Mesa, CA – May 17, 2007

The Masters Hall of Fame is proud to announce “Big John” McCarthy is the Guest Speaker at the 2007 Masters Hall of Fame Annual Event. The Black Tie event will recognize Martial Artist for their Excellence in the Martial Arts.

Big John is an icon in the martial arts community known for his dynamic presents in the UFC's Octagon; which he has presided over as the Center Judge for nearly 15 years.

However, “Big John” plays a much more important role in our communities than being the Center Judge at the UFC. Big John is also a Los Angeles City Police Officer who teaches Police Officers Arrest and Control procedures and survival tactics. Officer McCarthy teaches over 10,000 police officers a year the invaluable skills needed to survive attacks from the criminal elements that preys on our communities.

To add to Big John success he has recently he opened the Ultimate Training Academy 25385 Rye Canyon Road Valencia, Ca. to the public. The Ultimate Training Academy offers a wide variety of classes ranging from Traditional Jujitsu to no Gi grappling.

Guest instructors at the Ultimate Training Academy have included the 2 times UFC Light Heavy Weight and current UFC Heavy Weight Champion Randy Couture, a Martial Arts Jujitsu legend within the Law Enforcement Community Lou Salseda; as well other dynamic martial artist.

The 2007 Masters Hall of Fame Event at the Hilton Hotel and Resort, Costa Mesa CA on August 11, 2007 will recognize today's best Martial Artists. This year's nominees are a cross representation of the Martial Artist through out the United States that exemplify “Excellence in the Martial Arts”.

The Masters Hall of Fame nominees use values such as Leadership, Honesty, and Loyalty that have made them successful as Martial Artist and apply these values to all other aspects of their lives.

The Inductees include role models and leaders use the lessons from the Martial Arts to achieve excellence in all aspect of their lives. The 2007 Masters Hall of Fame Inductee's include Dynamic Leaders, Scholars, and Chief's of Police, Military Leaders, and Leaders of their perspective fields that are role models for our youth to follow.
